Using the service
Car Insight Fuel is a public comparison tool for personal, lawful use. Do not attempt to disrupt the service, bypass request limits, scrape it at scale or use it to misrepresent a station or provider.
Price and station information
Fuel prices, opening hours, facilities and addresses may be delayed, incomplete or incorrect. A forecourt’s displayed price at the time you arrive is the price that applies. Always check information at the station before buying fuel.
Demonstration mode
When the service is running in mock mode, station names, locations and prices are fictional demonstration data. The interface labels its source so that demo information is not mistaken for a live offer.
Vehicle and MOT estimates
Vehicle and MOT data may be delayed, incomplete or unavailable. The Car Insight MOT Health Estimate is not an official DVSA result, does not state that a vehicle is safe, and does not replace a physical inspection or professional diagnosis.
AI vehicle comparisons
Compare Cars uses GPT-5.6 Luna to summarize only the DVLA and MOT fields returned for the two registrations. Its recommendation may be incomplete or wrong and is not a valuation, safety assessment, mechanical inspection, finance check, theft check, write-off check or guarantee that a vehicle is the better purchase. Verify the source records and arrange independent checks before buying.
Maintenance and trip records
Saved service intervals and generic maintenance estimates are planning aids, not manufacturer schedules or proof that work was completed. Interval edits are account-scoped and version checked, but records may still be incomplete or temporarily out of date while a phone is offline or waiting to synchronize.
Navigation and safe driving
Navigation opens an external mapping service. Check the destination before travelling, follow road signs and never interact with the map while driving. A lower listed price may not justify the time or fuel used for a detour.
Availability
We aim to keep the service useful and reliable, but do not guarantee uninterrupted access or complete coverage. Features and providers may change as the public beta develops.
Third-party maps
When enabled, Google Maps content is provided under the Google Maps Platform Terms. Alternative map providers and navigation services apply their own terms and availability rules.
